What is FIRST Robotics?

FIRST inspires young people to be STEM leaders and innovators through different challenges that build life skills. It was made to inspire young people’s interest in science and technology while also building teamwork skills, communication skills, self-confidence, and other important skills that build better people, and encourage the ability to learn from mistakes.

 

Who is Iced Java Robotics?

Iced Java Robotics is a multi-school team that is still growing. We are excited about making our mark in both the FIRST Community and in our local community, as we are the only FRC team in Gaston and Lincoln county. We have grown our robotics program not only in our school but in our community. The experience we have had with FIRST has changed us in so many positive ways- we have become engineers and entrepreneurs who are excited about our future and what this program can bring to our school. Our mission is to leave a lasting legacy behind for all the students at Mountain Island Charter School and our local community.
